The IR-4 Project conducts multiple virtual crop tours each year for Environmental Protection Agency staff, industry and university researchers, stakeholders, and the general public to learn more about pest management problems and solutions on specific crops.
Historically, IR-4 conducted in-person tours at farms in the mid-Atlantic for EPA staff members to provide a first-hand look at the impact IR-4 has on the specialty crop industry. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, virtual tours were established to continue this educational effort, while also opening up the tour to a larger audience.
